SKEW 04: Black Embodiment

SKEW 04 examines the theme Black Embodiment in all its faces, vibrancy and variations. A celebration and reclamation of Black bodies, SKEW 04 illuminates the power, resilience and glory of what it means to embrace the body as a perfect, complete entity, a temple to revere, honor and uplift. For this theme, participants were encouraged to submit pieces that reflected “embodiment” in both literal and abstract manifestations. The result is a collection of deeply resonant, glorious works that entice the reader on every page, inviting stillness and awe.
